I have to tell you that I am a recovering sugar addict. Not - TopicsExpress

I have to tell you that I am a recovering sugar addict. Not because I was personally adding sugar into my food or drinks but because I became addicted to the foods and drinks that add more sugar for me. Its time to wake up, people, and realize that a huge part of the food and beverage companies, including fast food joints, want you to be addicted to sugar. They rely on you and your children becoming sugar addicts. The more of an addict you become, the more youll come back. I know this first hand and I know the side affects first hand. I know the highs and the crashes. I know feigning for my next thing. I know that 3pm I need a sweet snack to get me through the day feeling. And the most ironic things of all... they make you addicted on purpose by adding sugars that dont need to be in their product then make it your fault for being fat and addicted. Just eat less! Do you really need to eat that? Why dont you just exercise? ! So now your fat, addicted to added sugar, and ashamed. .. so you eat more because it makes you feel good. So you can continue down this path and continue to be a victim or you can gather the strength with support to do something about it. I put myself through a 30 day sugar addiction rehab program to get the sugar out of my system. I still have my days when I look at something and want that but I have more will power now then ever before. I recommend it for anyone with a sugar addiction . Now for all the rest of you saying. Yeah, right. The food companies didnt make me fat or addicted, I did. Ok, read that ketchup bottle. 3 kinds of sugar. How you doing at 3pm when you get that crash? That healthy salad... read the salad dressing label. How About That juice, huh? And keep ordering that large diet coke with no ice through the drive through. Sugar addiction is real. Time to kick the habit.
