I have trouble seeing very well at times... variations in the surface Im walking on can really throw me... I fell so hard on my face last year that my false teeth were wedged into my gums... My face, especially my nose were a mixture of frozen numbness and burning pain. The pain lasted several weeks. Well it happened again this year at Sequoia National Park. The pavement was kind of uneven both times... I didnt see it... and so down I went... This time thankfully I was only shaken up - a few skinned places and bruises... Last year, a couple stopped and were so kind and helpful... I thanked them but honestly I was so embarrassed I just wanted to get away from the place as soon as I could... People kindly rushed to help at the state park this year... but again I was embarrassed. A hurried thank you and I limped away. Now the point of my story. I hope the kind people that helped me, including the guys here on my street that tried to help me in April when I fell... (I was so embarrassed I just kept telling them Id be okay...) please dont change... I am truly grateful... Just hard to accept a helping hand... makes me feel like a burden... but I do thank you so very much... for the hand and more for the heart that cares...
