I have waited a few days, I figured it was better to give everyone a chance to hang themselves before I posted. Here is what pisses me off. Everyone fans and others alike have complained all year how Coach Saban is too conservative etc, many of us have called it The Process. Its easier to label it something you cant argue than to explain the bigger picture. Yet, at the end of the whooha of all games which it wasnt, it was a rivalry game. Anyways, when he goes for it all hes condemned for his choice as well. Now... think about that for a few before you give me some smart-ass comment, because its the truth. Why dont we run up the score I cant believe hes not going for it! This just sucks Im so disappointed in this team Im not whining, Im not complaining, Im not still stuck on the game, Im not condemning anyone, Im just pointing out something that Ive watched and listened to all year from media and fans. Now there is a damn petition started to review the game are you kidding me? Act like youve been here before, or has everyone forgotten the days of Perkins and Shula? Seriously! All of this talk about linemen down field (it was a scramble, he threw the ball at the last minute, judgement call, not a rule by any means, that negates the Auburn player taking the Alabama lineman to the ground as well). The officiating was horrible for both teams that night, some of the worst Ive ever seen period. An excuse? NO, its not, not at all. Im fed up with the talk about the decision on the field goal. Any coach in his right mind, with a kicker who kicks 60+ yards daily in practice would have done the same thing, regardless if Bart Starr was the damn quarterback. I would have, in that situation, not done the same. However this is why Im not a coach of a major collegiate football team such as The University of Alabama, and Nick Saban is. My suggestion to those still stuck on the game, put all that energy to wishing the best to Duke, Michigan State, and Missouri. Well see how it works out come Saturday night at Midnight!
