I have waited for this moment for what it seems like furrrever… I have spent many nights lying with my eyes open, worrying if he will survive, and how will I pay for his medical attention. WOODY… the cat that loved his human so, so much he rather wanted to die than live without him. WOODY… the cat that spent 9 long months hiding in a dark cupboard, with his head buried in the darkest corner. WOODY… the cat that pulled out his feeding tube out… twice (thank goodness the second time around he was only a couple of days away from seeing the vet and having it removed by her). WOODY… the cat that is looking for his furrrever home now. Yes, I am so happy to let you all know that Woody is ready to meet his new furrrever parents. And when I say furrrever, I mean it. Woody gets very attached to his human and under no circumstance will he take it lightly. I could see it first hand when I was moving him from his first to his second foster home (yes…I know, it doesn’t sound good, but I had no other options). When his first foster mom brought him to my car, and said her good-bye, closing the door, Woody got so sad, he looked at her and let out the saddest, the loudest meows I have heard in a long time. He was crying and so was I. The new adoptive family for Woody will be asked to visit him a few times at his foster home in Courtice, Ontario. Only after a few visits, when we all see that is clearly comfortable with them, will the foster mom take him over to his new furrrever home. In addition, Woody’s new human parents will need to monitor his food consumption and bowel movements. Very recently Woody has been treated for worms causing him diarrhea. The vet believes that it should subside, however, there could also be gluten sensitivity… I know it sounds like a lot, but Woody has come such long way, we would not want anything less for him. We are looking for human parents that will understand that and consider it important. So there is this one last thing Woody needs us to do for him, and that is to share his story one more time, and help find the humans he will love with all of his heart.
