I have waited on expressing my opinion on this matter because I am scared to be honest. So that is out there. I am a Christian and I also am a feminist. I see both sides of the coin. However what is really bothering me about the backlash against this ruling is this - it is not against all birth control. Want to be on the pill? Go for it and HL will foot the bill for the insurance coverage. There has been some debate as to whether or not Plan B is bc or an abortificant. I believe it is not but I am not a scientist. Many years ago I found myself in a situation where I saw no other choice. I made a decision that has affected my life more often than I would like to admit - guilt and nightmares and sadness. However - I PAID FOR IT - emotionally (for many years) and financially. I did not look for my insurance company to foot the bill nor would I assume they had to. I remember a time when having a job with good benefits was a great perk - when did it become mandatory for companies to provide all services just because we have the honor of working for them. As this article states Declining to force someone to pay for something is not the same as banning it. Women who work for the small number of religiously oriented businesses will still be able to buy birth control for as little as $9 a month. So there is my opinion on this highly explosive topic :)
