I havent been an avid soccer fan over the years but i have found this Nigeria Eagles competent and most especially favoured by God. The win against Morocco was really dramatic, drastic, tactiful, strategical and with strength and valour the homebase Eagles restored glory to our country Nigeria. I found myself enthusiastically hypnotized by the match against Morocco today. It gives me hope about Nigeria political situation which is retrogressive due to inept leaders who lack wit,courage,spontaneity,honesty,selfless service etc. In the first half of the match, Morocco was beating Nigeria 3 to nil. Hopefully the Super Eagles equallized in the second half, with the third goal from Ezoenyi scoring at the 90th minute of the full match, just seconds to the final wistle. Thus an extra time granted by that equalizer goal which gave the Eagles a window of opportunity to score another goal at the second half of the extra time. To me it read clearly that while on the pitch playing there was no tribalism or neither does players gamble the passes with nepotism. I did not see the Eagles fans at the stadium butcher each other even during the first half rather i saw all cheering the Eagles which collectively resulted to victory by Gods grace. In reflecting this in reality of our country, there is need for us to repledge to hold on to unity, as youths most especially. I believe sincerely that if all youths come together like the Eagles to confront our socio-economic and political problems as well as opponents, then the era of kleptimaniac gerontocrats looting of our national treasury shall come to end. I have a dream, that one day the youth shall rise and embrace unity which will lead to freedom from our political oppressors. I have a dream, that the day shall come when our youths shall abandon tribal, ethno-religious sentiments and come together and forge a formidable force against corrupt political elites, and shall salvage Nigeria to victory, just as the Eagles of Nigeria soar with 4 goals over Morocco 3! The era of drastic development,visionary leaders, tangible infrastructures, credible courts, credible opposition, eradication of gender discrimination against women, accessible education to our children, accessible healthcare for our mothers and fathers, transparent pension administration,adequate roads and water supply, steady power supply, abolition of human trafficking and reduction of migration of our human resources,true democracy and true federalism.
