I havent spent a lot of time on this board-it is pretty much over my head :). I do wonder if you all you could help me think through an issue I have. At the end of last year I was struggling with a sore/ numb tongue and mouth. I went to Mayo Clinic and was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia. Started b12 injections (cyano) and my symptoms quickly went away. My symptoms came back after a few months (even though my numbers were good). Changed over to Methyl injections and no change. Then was told to use 5mg folic acid before inecting the methyl(even though my folate level was 17)as this would help the uptake of the b12. I have improved doing this-though I am still far from good. Did the 23and me. MTHFR C677T is +/-. Can I take folic acid? In other parts of the 23andme it says to avoid methyl donars. I just want to get rid of this sore mouth/tongue thing and feel the answers might be in this methylation stuff.
