I havent thought about it in years, this house is located at 2622 Madison Ave and I lived here for a short time 73 - 74 it was divided into 4 apartments, mine was on the lower right. It had a grand staircase that spiraled upwards as you walked in the front door, my apartment had a small living room a kitchen and two bedrooms, there was a back entrance to the yard from one of the bedrooms that had an old chest style freezer in the entry way that led to stairs to the basement from down there you could see the old rock foundation and dirt floor. The house was haunted which is one reason I didnt stay too long, too many noises, old time music coming from an unoccupied apartment above me sounds coming from closed off doors leading to nowhere that were turned into book shelves, being half asleep and squinting your eyes open to see something or someone hanging over your bed, and the most frightening was in the morning having every single cupboard in the kitchen being open along with the drawers. That old chest freezer lid was open on many occasions too. Then finally the sounds of foot steps noticeably going from a carpeted floor in the back bedroom to the kitchen tiles and when you look up to see who is there.......nothing. There was a co-worker who asked me where I lived and when I told her where, the first things she said was so how do you like the ghosts? apparently she had lived there earlier. Does anyone know anything about this house?
