I hear lots of opinions about political folks, and political "stuff," and what I have seen, every time I have visited Washington, DC (numerous times), is that these governing folks are common people, just like you and me, and no matter who they are or what rank they hold, they are just like us --- and what you know and feel, they do too. Let us have grace toward our governing officials, and hold them lovingly before the King of the Universe, on whose shoulders the government rests, that He might help them, give them wisdom and courage to do the best things, assist them in every particle of the matters of State, and lead them inexorably into the freedom and flawless perfection of the Kingdom of God - regardless of party or persuasion. We need them, and they need our intercessory prayers. Not to pray for them is a sin. To be cynical about them is a sin, but to uphold them with the love of Christ and prayer in the Spirit will insure that God has access to them all, and our best futures are more possible when we do. Amen.
