I hear people, usually metal dudes, talking all the time about 7-string/8-string guitars. Hey, did you guys know bass guitars exist? It turns out those frequencies are already covered by a different instrument. Playing lower notes doesnt make your guitar sound more heavy. Tone does. So do fifths. And while were on the subject, try writing a song that isnt heavy. Metal isnt the only thing in the world. Good luck.
