Amen! “ This Sunday is “Christ The King Sunday” — a great day to consider what a different kind of King we have in Jesus. He came in such a way that the world could not expect — or even recognize. When kings historically have been known to rule with an iron fist — to conquer other kingdoms to get whatever it is they want — Jesus’ time on earth was centered on loving God, and loving each other, Jesus did not live within the earthly rules of what a King should be. His Kingdom is built on love, forgiveness, mercy, compassion and grace! I fell upon this new song by Matt Maher — “Because He Lives (Amen)” I found this song to be a great celebration of the King that we celebrate in Jesus! This song reminds me that, because I am a citizen in the Kingdom of God — ruled by the LOVE of Christ the King — I can handle anything that life may throw at me! Just like Jesus, I will endure!
