I heard some people opine that this sealed cover containing the list of foreign account holders is going to be a litmus test for the centres fairness towards the north-east. If the list fails to accommodate at least a dozen or so names from the north-east, once again it will reinforce the sense of discrimination, unfair treatment, and step motherly attitude of the region at the hands of mainland India. This is sure to further alienate the people after the unfair dropping of the guwahati tag from the isl team. Failure to include a sizeable proportion of people from this region may once again ignite insurgency in this region already reeling under Afspa. This frontier region, according to experts, deserve its rightful place in the pan-india hall of shame.
