I heard something startling on the radio, young gentleman said that conservatives, all wanted to go back to the old ways, when the country was founded, said they wanted to bring back slavery, and was apparently quite serious...that is of course nonsense, and whether they actually teach that in schools, or there is truly just a mass of people that believe that, its no wonder that folks are fighting it. Liberalism, starts out the same way as liberty, as its spelled, and freedom is good, everything for free, not so good. But to most professed liberals, the basic belief is that the government has the freedom , to regulate, tax, prohibit, or outlaw anything it chooses as long as they claim its for the OVERALL welfare, essentially killing individual rights. Conservatism, is NOT the opposite of that. Conservatism, is when you think that the less government interference, and regulation, the smaller the government, the less crippling taxes are needed to keep the whole damn country afloat.. actually more of the freedom you think you are getting, with the other guys. the more of your 10 bucks an hour min wage you get to keep....if you arent supporting all of Washington DC, you may earn 10 bucks and take that much home too...
