I heard this song on my XM radio in the car yesterday and was so caught up in the words and music I could hardly wait to get home so I could look it up on the internet. I found the video which I have attached here. While watching it, I found myself caught in a moment of terror..... of fear.... and pain; a realization that this is how so many in our world today are treated (yes, even here in the USA) because of how love manifests in our hearts. Take me to Church.... do those words really elicit a call to hate.... vengeance and pain? Take me to Church.... how easily those words could say bring me to love and peace. Church... how can one word have so much difference of meaning and cause so much discordance in the world. What a shame we have to be so careful in what we ask for when we simply say take me to Church. I know many will find disgust with the theme of this message... some will celebrate the righteousness of the video. Some, I hope, will weep in horror as I did.
