I hold a view that the Holy Spirit is gradually being withdrawn - TopicsExpress

I hold a view that the Holy Spirit is gradually being withdrawn from the world as we are entering into the climatic moments of the end to this present age. When the Holy Spirit is totally withdrawn all hell will break loose. The world will experience wars, violence, eruptions, perversions, hatred, fear of which we are seeing glimpses of these in today’s time. The human race will be in a hell of its own making. The Holy Spirit acts through people of God, who are called the salt of the earth and light of the world by Jesus on His sermon on the Mount found in Matthew chapter 5. Salt and light speak of the influence believers can exercise for the good in society. We believers sometimes find it difficult to understand what influence we can possibly have when we are the minority, are so often divided, and are disobedient from time to time. But by the power of the Spirit, however, we can restrain evil and do good. The Scriptures tells us that the state of the world will grow darker as we near the end of the age. The world has no light of its own and it is marked by a process of accelerating decay. Jesus taught us that we who are His followers, though weak and small in number, act as salt so that we can hinder the process of decline. Christians at work in the world are the only real spiritual light in the midst of great spiritual darkness. This places a tremendous responsibility on all of us believers. Only as the world sees our good works do they know a light is shinning, Only as the world sense our moral presence are the conscious of salt. The Holy Spirit is calling you to be a shinning light in the kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is calling you to be salt of the earth. The question I have for you, have you been regenerated by the power of the Spirit of God? Nothing less can bring true spiritual rebirth in your life. God sent His Son into the world to give us new life, everlasting life, eternal life. A new birth will bring about a change in your relationship with God, a change in your relationship with your family, a change in relationship with yourself. As an obedient believer, it will bring a change in your disposition, your aims, your principles, and your dimensions. First, realize you are a sinner in God’s eyes. You may not consider yourself as a bad person because you know that you have lived a fairly decent life. On the other hand, you may be caring a burden of guilt over some sins committed in your past. What ever the background, the Bible tells us Romans 3:10 “There is none righteous, no, not one.” we all have broken the laws of God, and we all deserve nothing but God’s judgment and wrath. Second, realize the God loves you and sent His Son to die for you. You deserve to die for your sins, but Christ died in your place. 1 Peter 3:18 says, “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God.” That is the wonder of the gospel that God loves us! He loves you, in spite of the fact you are a sinner. Third, repent of your sins. Repentance come from a Greek word, meaning a change of mind. It means that I admit I am a sinner, and that I am sorry for the fact I have sinned, But repentance also means I actually turn my back on my sins. I reject them! I am determined by God’s grace to live as He wants me to live. Luke 13:3 Jesus said “unless you repent you will like wise perish.” Repentance involves a willingness to leave sin behind and turn my life over to Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. If we can just see ourselves as God sees us and we pray, God be merciful to me, the sinner. Fourth, come by faith and trust Christ. Salvation, the Bible tells us, is a free gift God has done everything possible to make salvation available to us, but we must respond and make that gift our own. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. How do you accept this gift? By the simple act of faith in which you say yes to Christ. If you have never accepted Christ into your life, I invite you to do it right now before another minute passes. Simply tell God you know you are a sinner and you are sorry for your sins. Tell Him you believe Jesus Christ died for you, and that you want to give your life to Him right now, to follow Him as Lord the rest of your life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” God is good
