I honestly believe that DaVincis Demons is a better show than Game of Thrones ...and thats with an understanding of why most people put GoTs first in terms of TV dramas! GoT is a more obvious candidate and an incredible show but the premise of DaVinci is most glorious for its most obvious flaws In its execution, the insane premise of young DaVinci as a 15th century Tony Stark forging modernity out of his brilliance and necessity does an amazing amazing job of exploring the wonder of the cosmos. Whats more, the fun rather than ploddingly informative way that its set against a backdrop packed with incredibly complex and layered history lends a level of enjoyment that most people would miss (or at least need to Wikipedia), but that isnt necessary to enjoy the show. It merely adds to it for the history nerds in the world. For creativity and depth of theme and sheer entertainment value, DaVincis Demons just a cosmically, wonderfully creative adventure of a show that probably should never have been greenlit. In something of a self referential allegory, its all the more wonderful for the implausibility of its existence.
