I honestly never thought that my short film Victim would have been enjoyed and even broadcast. It started off as me wanting to make a movie to practice my filmmaking skills. I sat in my room, feet up on my desk, writing the screenplay. When I was done, I moved on to pre-production and asked my friends to help me out with feedback. Aurora, Keith, Dominic, Chris, Stefan and Zidane. Through that, I was able to inspire them to want to work on this film with me. Along the way, Alixzandar came on board and helped me out with the equipment used for production. Everyone joined in on realizing this dream of mine. Other people that helped out greatly, whether it be support or advice... Michael, Steven, Vanna Banana!!!! (My #1 supporter), Shy Ann!, Deneicia, Phil, Charles, Kyle, Leel, Shana.. Also got to give a BIG thank you to Aaron Schneider, Euphrates Hordatt and Jihann Miller... Without you guys, Id be filming blindly. Aaron helped me with directing actors for it was my first time, I needed the help. Jihann..... her performance stole me heart, I saw my script coming to life in Cassies scenes. It was literally the exact thing had in mind while writing!!!! I wanted to get into film to help inspire others and also to create unforgettable experiences and realities that would not have existed before. I have a long way to go again, but I believe with the friends I have and have made, WE will be able to push forward and do things that Trinidad has never dreamed of seeing produced locally!
