I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We are officially closed now and our building is for sale. We will continue to bake pound cakes by special order, and will decorate cakes again in the future. We sincerely appreciate your support over the last 2 1/2 years and will miss all of you dearly. With the beginning of the sidewalk construction and blocking the parking lot entrance across the street from us, our walk-in traffic was hindered. We were looking at hiring a new person to handle the front while we baked and decorated, since our cake orders had increased significantly. However, with the loss of walk-in traffic, it was no longer feasible to hire additional staff. Were no longer able to keep up with the hours required to keep everything up and going. Our normal week was 75-80 hours, and December was 90+ per week. Its a bittersweet decision, but one that had to be made. God has another path for us and we are excited to follow His will!
