I hope folks are well! Im juggling a lot of things right now but all should be well. Time for my gratitude list... a bit of a look back over the last nearly five months in my author career (I didnt realize Id made my pages that long ago). Im grateful to Kathryn Bone and Andrew Gordon for starting Free Fiction Friday. Im also grateful for everyone else participating in it. I dont know how many people are reading my stories (the Wordpress site doesnt tell me if people actually read, just that they visit), but so far Ive been reading the above two authors posts, and hope to eventually read those of other authors... my time for fiction reading has been low but I need to make more time for it. Im grateful to Grace R. Duncan for organizing the BDSM blog hop this summer. That hop and the idea of FFF starting soon were what made me finally willing to make my website, facebook, and Twitter, and start networking with other authors more. Its hard to believe that its only been a handful of months, given all that Ive learned and all the opportunities Ive had since getting more connected to the community of writers and readers. And that blog hop was awesome, and Im also grateful for the other authors who posted for it (too many to list here). Im grateful for Hb Pattskyn for having faith in my beta reading/editing skills (thanks to her knowing I beta for Grace and us chatting some) and giving me the opportunity to beta read and edit her wonderful novella Tentacles and Chain (currently running as a serial on her website). Im grateful to Andrew Q. Gordon for having enough faith in my editing skills (thanks to Grace suggesting me to him and me editing a bit for him) to recommend me to Lily Velden, and to her for giving me the opportunity to do some editing for Wayward Ink Publishing. Im grateful to Nobilis Reed for thinking highly enough of my voice to give me the privilege of recording an audiobook version of one of my favorite stories of his, Metharmeas Journey. Also grateful to him for being understanding that I need to figure out when to carve out the time to sit and record it in just a few stretches for consistency. I have many more gratitudes related to my writing career, but Ill stop there for today. Taking a while with long lists like this is part of why I have trouble getting other things done. But its important to think about what Im grateful for. I wonder if I need to put a time or wordcount limit on my gratitude lists, though, hehe. Take care, folks!
