I hope it is okay for me to share this photo here. I live just north (only a few miles) of Toledo Ohio in Blissfield Michigan so I hope I am close enough to participate here. I have been spending a large amount of time with my Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in my garden. This photo was taken the other day in my front garden while this bird rested. My question is how can I tell if a hummingbird is a female or a young male?
