I hope that youre all having a pleasant Christmas Day. My American friend sent me the following link this morning. I thought it would be perfect to listen to while cooking Christmas Lunch. My friend - whom Ive known since 1986 and has truly struggled in life - wrote me a long and love filled letter. Taking into account the misery which she has endured over the years, I thought you may like to read the following unedited paragraph: There is a family renting the house down the road and the mother has some sort of developmental disability. I baked a large pineapple upside down cake and delivered it to the door with a big smile and cheerfulness....MERRY Christmas. Is there cheer or joy in their house...probably very little and I would like to think that I shined a tiny glitter of light and joy on them today. Their little girl who gets up at 4 a.m. every day is picked up and transported to help dress her step brother who is autistic and he is taken an hour away to a special program. So me, I have nothing to ..no problems compared to the burden she is given.
