I hope this has been a wonderful Christmas for all of you. Our trip to visit family in Iowa over the past weekend ended kind of rough. My husband ended up with a bad concussion. The circumstance was something like a cartoon. We stop at my brothers house Saturday night. Its winter and a bit icy, but hey, thats typical for Iowa in December. My brother opens the garage door, and out races his black Lab, who is thrilled to see all of the visitors. The only problem is, he realizes he cant stop and hes headed right for Mark. And knocks his legs out from under him. So Mark goes flying, legs up in the air, and proceeds to land head first on the concreted driveway. So we ended our trip and headed home on Saturday to divide the drive over two days. Nearly a week later he still has a throbbing headache and spends most of his day in bed. Cant watch TV or play on the computer. Fortunately, its just a concussion (CT scan showed nothing worse), and hell have to deal with the whopper headache for a few more days. So the dogs are spending a lot of time in the dog room as he is still very sound and light sensitive. At least hes finally getting sleep, as the muscle aches have let up. Just very glad that he is going to be fine, but have not had a lot of time to be on Facebook.
