I hope this short video warms you up! This is the tiny cleared area where the Lodge is, on a 7200 acre Mountain reserve in Belize. Notice the mix of pine trees and palms. Very unique. Going to be 90 today. Hottest day this week. Nights are chilly. Rain comes and goes. The noise you hear: bubbly water, exotic birds, and my traveling comrades laughing in the breakfast room. Heading to lower altitude today, to the little town of St. Ignacio. The people here are mostly of Mayan origin and very knowledgable about their countrys natural resources, history, politics, etc. English, Spanish and a sort of street English are spoken here. And 3 dialects of Mayan. Which sounds more aztecy and native American than Spanish.
