I hope you dont mind if we share a little story with you, we have been getting a lot of beautiful messages from people regarding our impending demise, we thought wed share one from long time HCG supporter Al Wright, thanks for the kind words Al! Once upon a time my brother, Kristopher and I ran a fan club for The Casanovas, The Casanavy. This was before myspace, facebook or any real online social networks. We went to gigs to meet people, like minded people rocking out to good music. Everyone there was there to watch, drink and party. Noone was there to film it through their phones, could you imagine that? Through the many gigs we went to on their tours we got to see and meet some great bands, The Datsuns, The Vines, John Butler Trio, Magic Dirt, The Darkness, The Living End, Gyroscope, Spazzys, You Am I, Jet, and many others. There was one band that I met, became mates with and a huge fan of Hell City Glamours. When I first saw them at Fishos in Manly I was blown away. I took a bottle of my uncles home brew bourbon for The Casanovas and another for their support, Hell City Glamours. While the first band was on the boys finished the bottle. These guys were dressed in black, had bandanas hanging off everything, looked like the new Ratt, Motley Crue or Guns n Roses and partied just as hard. Over the years I have lost track of how many gigs I have been to, but seeing them play with Paul Stanley, New York Dolls, Airbourne, Shihad, Alice Cooper, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, and Brides of Destruction are the biggest highlights. BOD with HCG what an amazing night, getting on stage with my arm around Nikki Sixx as he played Shout At The Devil. I have seen the HCG play with two different bass guitarists and two drummers as Robbie broke his arm the night before a tour. They were always the gig of the night no matter what city we were in or who was playing for them. Their first album came out in 2008 just before my then fiance and I broke up, I lost my job with Ticketmaster and my car was written off. I got hit pretty hard by life and got through by playing this album on high rotation and higher volume. Two years later my next exgirlfriend Sarah broke up with me in Sydney at Hungry Jacks on the way to a HCG Cruise. Getting on that boat we partied hard and cruised all around the harbour with them headlining and a few Sydney bands supporting while other musicians drank and partied with us including The Presets. Fast forward 4 quick years and they are bringing out their second and final album. Luckily I got a preview copy from the boys and about to check it out. All I can say is Thankyou RobbieJonathan Mo for some of the best times and cant wait to see you guys on the 31st at Factory Theatre! Lights off, Sennheisers on, Hell City Glamours new album lets go!
