I imagine the GOP has some sophisticated, long-standing economic reason why women should carry the burden of not disrupting -what is apparently- the fragile ecosystem of corporate America & our economy; but as a female, I couldnt care less what it is. And I am flabberghasted... completely lost as to how -in 2014 no less- such illiberal, provencial, and unethical premises for economic policy are sustained by any voter. Reasonably, shouldnt laws to ensure economic stability and success of our nation have, at their foundation, priciples of equality for all people whom they serve. Remarkably, (and this really blows my mind) not one single Republican voted in favor of the Paycheck Fairness Act - not one? Someone explain to me what plan...what iniative... what amendments...what tweaking of the equal pay bill into a lesser-than version can be justfied by the GOP, when - in the end - they will be paid for with the rightfully earned income of - and only- women and their children? #equalpay #giveusabreak #whenisHilarygettinghere #midtermelections abcnews.go/politics/t/blogEntry?id=23257619
