I invite all Muslim and non-Muslim women (and men) to support the World Hijab Day by wearing a headscarf today, Saturday February 1st 2014. More than 105 countries are participating. Last year, many of our non-Muslim sisters have also participated around the world. Let all of us, just for one day, support women who choose to wear a headscarf on a daily basis. Amongst them last year were: Jewish, Christians, Pagans, Atheists, Wiccans, Mormons, Rastafarians and others. It has been translated into 23 different languages and featured on mainstream news media like BBC, Al jazira and many more. I hope this event will provide more awareness about the islamic headscarf and help combat discrimination/oppression against women who choose to dress differently. Wearing a religious dress is the least of rights. Lets reach 1 million this year and succeed for tolerance understanding and peace. Thank you all. May God All Mighty bless you.
