I joined the Barat of my wifes nephew Sonu yesterday. My congrats to all family and blessings to dear Sonu and new bahurani Tanu. It was a good function, with grand venue, gourmet food, top class gentry and on top of it the company of my dear ones. My mood was high as my yourger son Guddu, Bahurani (in light golden-almond color Sari and jewelry, and grandson Ani in a black suit jacket, shirt and tie looked stunning. I wore my buttoned up blue jodhpuri jacket and black pant. I had to have a dark blue topa and a black muffler because of the cold weather in the open. But it is OK at my age. It was a joyful celebration with happy guests, mainly because the groom parents Raj Kumar and Manno and Mannos younger sister Mohini and her son my fb friend Gaurav are very social and helpful. The dancing was, to say the least almost wild.... ha ha ha A sorry incident marred the function for me. While it is not my intention to describe the incident here, it gave me an idea, which I have been turning over again and again in my mind since this afternoon ..... to write a series of stories on my long experiences of attending weddings since 1948 at Allahabad and in New Delhi. I can vividly recall what i saw and experienced as a five year old child. I have decided to name this series of stories JANVAASAA TALES. Since there may be about 100 of these in the next few years, I will number these like this JANVAASAA TALES - 001, 002, 003 ..etc. Please give me your blessings and good wishes for the success of my project.
