I just came back from my hometown of Philadelphia, Pa. I had a performance Friday at the Philadelphia Art Museum with one of my favorite pianist on the planet, Orrin Evans, with his quartet which included master bassist, who I look up to, Curtis Lundy, and the amazing Tim Warfield on tenor and soprano saxes. Then Saturday I performed at The Painted Bride with a great band, Itamar Borochov Quartet, part of the Israeli Jazz festival. My homeboys, Alexander Claffy on acoustic bass, Orrin Evans on piano was holding it down with Lucas Pino on tenor sax, and on leader Itamar Borochov on trumpet. The cats were killin!!!!!! On this performance I received a text from someone that said,U are LOUD, unfortunately I didnt notice the text until I arrived back to NYC. Im sorry I didnt notice in time to make the adjustment. Anyway I appreciated the tip. Sometimes this happens for various reasons but what Im trying to do is a work in progress so hopefully this type of info will help me improve. So I apologize if it was a drag for the audience. My two days in Philly confirmed why I am so proud to be from this great city. The people and the vibe there are truly special and growing up there has a creative impact on artist alike. Im sorry I could reach out to all my peoples there. You know who you are however it was tight schedule for me so forgive me. Thats all from this proud Philadelphian!!
