I just cant not say it for any longer. To all of my keen travelling buddies. Ebola is no conspiracy. It is literally the thing I am most phobic about. Scouring sites such as the CDC and WHO it is clear that in about one to two months, Ebola will reach many countries, if 70 percent of people arent treated. It is predicted that up to 10,000 cases a week may happen as early as December. Im no mathematician, but a dozen or even 100 makeshift hospitals each with approximately 170 beds WILL NOT WORK. Terrifying indeed. Africa, as a Whole, as well as the rest of the world is in for some seriously dark months or years. Bless the West Africans affected by this scourge. Statistically HIV has killed 39 million people, but thats been since 1984. About 1.5 million people died from it last year. But many live with it. In contrast an estimated 500,000 will have contracted E by January (CDC). At least 60 -70 percent of those may die within a few weeks. Ebola by the numbers is WAY WORSE. It survives as fomites and in puddles. In West Africa there are many many puddles. Be safe. Stock up on chocolate.(one third of the worlds cocoa supply is currently affected. Bad. Brain aneurism is my number two phobia. ;)
