I just emailed a client on how BIG their (not so) small donation will be on so many across the world.......Heres the story.......... I worked with a client who had some gorgeous material (two HUGE rolls of it) in her closet. It was extra material left over from custom made drapes and bedding, it was extremely expensive, fancy and just beautiful. It was hard for the client to let it go to the donation pile because she knew it cost a lot of money. She battled with it for a second but said it had sat for over 7 years and hadnt touched it once. To the donation pile it went. (Fast forward to later that day) Im unloading my car at The Hope Center of Edmond when a little elderly lady pulls up with some donations as well. I help unload her donations when she sees the material and comments how beautiful they are. Long story short, she sews blankets for the company Blankets of Hope which gives handmade blankets to military, churches and children in Africa and other countries around the world. ALL THAT MATERIAL WILL KEEP A BABY WARM! It doesnt get better than this! My heart is full! I got her business card and with the permission of future clients I will give future materials to her as well.......
