I just feel the need to share this with everyone, so hopefully it will save people from the frustration and horrible treatment that my family and I have received. For anybody using or thinking about using Verizon, PLEASE stay clear of the Tehachapi Verizon store. I have just found out that they are not an actual Store under Verizon, but an independent retailer. This is worse than going to a mall kiosk. I found this out after a huge problem with them that is finally being taken care of the corporate Verizon store in Bakersfield. My family and I signed up for Verizon here in Tehachapi, and they got us all set up with new phones and new plans, but I was given the wrong iPhone. I didnt realize this until I got home and found that it was 16gb instead of 32gb. This might not be a big issue to most people, but I wanted the phone that I was promised. So we went back the following day and they assured us that it would be a really easy exchange, no problems, no money needed, they just had to order the phone. to make a long story short, they messed around with the order and canceled and resubmitted it several times. This was done by several different employees, and the whole time the manager kept passing us off to someone else. Now this all played out and was getting close to the 30 day warranty limit, so we went in again to make sure that it wasnt going to affect anything. My mother and I were both guaranteed by one of the employees AND the manager that the phone was on its way and going over the 30 day limit wouldnt affect anything, because it was their mistake in the first place. So two days ago we get a call that the phone is in and we can finally make the exchange. Upon reaching the store, the manager informs us that it isnt going to work. Another long story and lots of arguing short, we ended up having to call Verizon customer Care and going through them. They were wonderful and understanding and are finally making this all work, but we have to go to a Bakersfield corporate store. Which is no problem at this point. But I just thought that everyone deserves to know about how bad this store in Tehachapi is capable or treating you. The manager is rude and does not care about the customer; he treated us so horribly and flat out lied to our faces. And it is wrong of them not to make it known that they are not actually affiliated with the corporate Verizon chain. Now I dont want to be mistaken for bashing on Verizon as a company or service here, because I love their service and would recommend them to anybody. Just not the Tehachapi store. - PM received by Amanda Knight
