I just finished Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett. It is his latest journey into the DiscWorld. Moist, Vetinari, Vimes, Cheery, Drumknott, Detritus, Angua, scads of goblins, Adora, ...Sir Terry didnt miss many in the canon. As always, I finished the book, closed the cover, and sat quietly for a few minutes, pondering the consistent, shining quality of an imagination that knows no bounds. I am often asked what kind of writer Sir Terry is; my usual answer is that he writes Pratchett. No other author can touch him, no one else shows this level of observation or creativity. Im not going to attempt a synopsis of this book, but suffice to say, teck-nowl-edgy and loggy-isticks comes to Ankh-Morpork. Heartily recommended.
