I just finished another fine creation . The style is French circa 1915. This shade has four linings, the first is an orange amber with a light gold atop of that , then two of cobalt blue chiffon. The large front and back panel have a double pleated rosette of cobalt blue ( each pleat has two pleats ) . In the centre of each rosette I inserted a red crystal surrounded by antique metallic trim French work . The two sidle panels have a rich cobalt blue Devoré velvet panel. The shade is trimmed with velvet braid I made and antique metallic French braid . I hand dyed the fringe and egg corn bobbles to match the rich blue of this shade to complete yet another eye catching example of historically correct lighting from an era gone by.
