I just finished reading (in 24 hrs) one of the most amazing books ever: Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton. Some of my mom FB friends were posting stuff from the authors FB page, which is called Momastery. I liked some of what she had to say and read some great reviews of her book. I was a little hesitant to purchase the book because I was worried that it would be all mommy-centered and as a woman who has never had her own children, this is a touchy subject at times, and reading a whole book on the subject would be a bit much for me. But she had me from the very first pages and while it does talk at times about being a mom, it more importantly talks about being a human being, especially as a woman. This is the type of book I dream of writing someday and hopefully will. I will be posting some excerpts from it on this page in the next few weeks because honestly, all I want to do is carry the book around with me and quote it to people!
