I just found this poem the other day. I wrote it while I was still in High School and it was in one of our church bulletins at First Baptist, in Windsor, VT. I seems appropriate for this season and even for Earth Day. How, God? Oh God, I often wonder. I often wonder how You made this mighty universe were just exploring now. In time long past you formed it. You spoke and it was so. Your Word by faith confirms it. All things in Nature show The order in creation. Man cannot help but see This world was not an accident, but planned for us by Thee. And seeing all Your wonders, and knowing of Your love. Our hearts reach out to praise Thee, Creator God above. The wonder of the sunlight. The miracle of birth. The majesty of mountains tall, the bounty of this earth. The oceans ceaseless motion. The summer,spring and fall. The hush of snow on winter nights. Lord God, You made it all. Your love shown forth at calvary. Your never-changing grace. And wonder of all wonders - someday well see Your face! Such power is far above us. Such mercy and such love.
