I just got Ozzys pathology report back. As suspected, it is synovial cell sarcoma & he will lose his leg. If there is a positive side to be found in all of this, there was no indication of osteosarcoma nor evidence of the cancer moving to his lungs or lymph nodes. He has the first available appointment so we can reduce his recovery time as much as we can. The biopsies lamed him terribly so sooner is definitely better than later. This type of cancer post-amputation has the best prognosis so we are hopeful he will be able to live out the remainder of his years happy, healthy & cancer-free.
