I just got an information that all the Obas in Ekiti State are to be presented with brand new vehicles tommorow. I thought before that only the 16 first class Obas are to get 16 Ford Jeeps. About 100 brand new Cars are to be presented to some Obas while the First Class Obas will get Ford Jeeps. I congratulate the Obas and as well, wish them good and sound health! However, I wish to assert without any fear of intimidation that the latest development is an absolute and a complete misplaced of priority! It is ill-timed! What happened to the 2008 model Toyota Cars presented to all Ekiti Obas by Segun Oni government In year 2008? Information from the Secretariat of Ido/Osi local government has it that the least Oba in Ekiti go home with about N350,000 monthly (excluding their oloris, drivers, guards and cooks). The vehicles currently being used by the Ekiti traditional rulers are still powerfully graded; therefore, I urge Governor Fayemi to sell the newly purchased cars and invest the money EKSU and COEI. Let me submit by opining that the latest decision of EKSG is unacceptable to me!
