I just got back from Ft. Morgan from family vacation. I saw some of the most amazing things. I saw a storm move in and back out again. The power of the ocean in turmoil is a beautiful sight even when stuck inside. I saw a real (thankfully dead) shark washed up on the beach. My children now have shark teeth taken directly from the shark. I hope there were no laws broken in that adventure. I saw graceful dolphins arching over the waves seemingly close enough to catch a ride. I saw schools of stingrays gliding through the swimmers and one beached on the sand flapping until it was pushed back to freedom. I saw old, white- haired couples walking hand in hand. I wondered. What was their story? What had their love endured or were they newlyweds discovering one another? I saw burly, manly men jumping tiny waves with their daughters while giggling in unison. My favorite sight was three siblings who, in any other environment, strive to prove their dislike for one another drawn together by the pull of the oceans playfulness and became, for a moment, friends.
