I just got off of the phone with Time Warner. I no longer need - TopicsExpress

I just got off of the phone with Time Warner. I no longer need phone service for work, I dont work from home anymore, could I cancel the home phone service? The rep tells me she wants to ask me a few questions to make sure Im getting the best package. I repeat to her that all I want to do is remove the phone service from my account because I no longer work for a job that requires me to have home phone service. She says okay and says he needs to ask me questions about my home usage of Time Warner Services. She asks me questions about how much we use the internet and what we use the internet for. I remind her that we already have the maximum package that TWC has available so theres no need to try to upsale me. She then asks me how many devices are being used by our internet. I tell her that I would like to keep my internet the same. She then says she would like to review my account to see if I am getting the best package and then puts me on hold for 2 minutes. She comes back on the line telling me that she has a package for me that would be around $120 for phone, cabletv and internet, and then starts going into it. I remind her that I DONT NEED PHONE. and that I DONT NEED TV. and that I JUST WANT TO REMOVE THE PHONE.... She then tries to ask me if I would like the phone at a discounted cost.... I did my best to keep my cool yall. I really did and Im convinced that Time Warner only responds to people being assholes. Needless to say after hulking out. I have the highest tier internet for 69.99 a month for the next 12 months. My bill was 130.
