I just got off the phone with my customer that I did the Knights Templar bike for. he and his were on their way to a bike show where the KT Bike was going to be the center piece for a special bike ride. they pulled over in a rest area to sleep for a few hours with the bike safely locked in the trailer. a while later he noticed somebody messing with the trailer lock. as he came out of his truck to see what the hell was going on a 46 year old white male ( Meth addict ) came around the trailer and met him face to face and shot my client in the abdomen with a 22 pistol. as he was on the ground bleeding to death he pulled out his own gun and put 4 rounds into the guy trying to kill him and his wife came around the passenger side and put 2 more into the bastard! Needless to say the bad guy didnt make it. my customer spent weeks in the hospital in a coma , lost a couple feet of innards and has recovered from his wounds. He also told me that the family of the addict wrote him a letter telling him that the guy had been an addict and trouble for a long time. they apologized to him and told them not to feel bad about what happened. they just did what they had to to survive. the wife is still pretty tore up about what happened and he is just happy to be alive. he is a vet who had seen combat . I dont what this post to be a debate on gun laws. Im just reporting the news.
