I just got off the phone with my vet of 30 years....and mind you I have had many many rescue dogs....Also my current dog Bucket Bay has a severe condition of gall stones and eats a specific diet and has out lived his condition Thank God....Anyway I would trust Dr. Pitkin with my life and he calls this BULLSHIT....he said it is not the temp of the water or adding ice that could harm the dog....ice might chip a tooth....but if the dog drank a huge amount of water that could result in serious bloating....so I feel better because I have always put ice in the water on hot days especially when camping for all my dogs....just saying
