I just had a neighbor insinuate that I am a hypocrite because I have no qualms about killing a rat that boards my boat after just stating that I Love Nature. She was complaining (saying how she couldnt deal with it) about a possible dead mouse on her barge. I commented that she loves nature until she has to deal with it. Her response oh so you have no problem living with rats? I said no, I just trap and kill em. Which triggered her treatise about how Im inconsistent in some way. I recognize that in my role as a Human, it is well within my capacity and best interest, and even our nature, to keep vermin in a balanced position. I dont trap them on the dock, and when I do kill one on my boat, I leave it there for a few days so the others know the story. Because, I Love Nature... Of course I didnt get to articulate any of that because she was so apparently full of herself in tagging me as inconsistent, that not one word appeared to be heard, as she walked away....
