I just had a very interesting interview/conversation with Ebony Magazine in regards to BB Guns in our community. One of the points that I made in my interview was that we know where the BB guns are coming from , but it bothers me that theres no real outrage within the City of Philadelphia , when it comes to accountability and the value of life of African American males in todays society. Wether we know it or not , theres a deep connection between BB guns and the tragic deaths of Mike Brown in MO , John Crawford in Cincinnati and Trayvon in Florida. In the meantime , Nakia Carr BouncetoThis Noveltee and myself , have been meeting over the last couple of days and we will be presenting our plan tomorrow to address this BB Guns issue , before we have another Mike Brown , John Crawford and Trayvon Martin situation here in Philadelphia. In addition to that , Will Latif Little Reuben Jones and myself are currently working to address the issue of youth violence in our community and building a sustainable relationship with the families that are involved in some of the nonsense. No were not perfect , but were in the process of taking on both issues head on in our community! #nomorepreachingtothechoir
