I just had an e mail from a very good friend of mine who is a Doctor on one of our ships. We were writing about the aftercare we are giving a lady who as I have mentioned suffered a terrible loss while on a recent cruise. On a slightly more comical front here is the last line from the Doctor’s e mail to me. “ and dear John our job is one that deals with such sadness yet there are happier times and times when you just have to smile. Such was yesterday evening when a guest called the 911 emergency line because she had shampoo in her eye. Oh good grief. Our Doctors and nurses along with our shore side care team are amazing people and while I hope you never have to meet any of them you should all know they are there if you need them.
