I just had the perfect Me-Time & Feeling Maraming Time moment at - TopicsExpress

I just had the perfect Me-Time & Feeling Maraming Time moment at Ace Water Spa. Special thanks to my sister Ana Lilian Bargas for giving me my pass! That 4-hour period to use all the amenities was more than enough... to the point that I was able to go around everything at least 3 times. Lol! It came to a point where I thought to myself quota na ako sa tubig... ayoko na makakita ng tubig. But kidding aside, it was all totally worthwhile. :)) Ive had the pass for quite some time. I just couldnt... and didnt find the right day to use it. Its expiration was on January 14, 2015, which is next week, and which is when our exams would start. So I was very eager to use the pass once and for all so it would not go to waste. I was meaning to use it later this week, in case a friend would decide to join me. But I ended up seizing the opportunity of a not-so-hectic day and went by myself... thereby making it a real me-time experience. I was able to check out the websites FAQs earlier today. Still, I thought that I was going to be super clueless with how Ill go about my time there. I had to ask one of the lifeguard-ish staff where would be a good place to start. He pointed to the spa pool, which I thought was not a very specific direction. It turns out, once you actually get in and start using something, youll know how it works and just go to the next one and the next one and so on. I started with the hydro massages, which were all super awesome! Each kind lasted for an average of 2 minutes, making time feel really slow... and me trying a different one every so often. There were also acupuncture-style showers on the spa pool. Like the others, it would give the necessary guidelines and the corresponding health benefits. And as a fan of reading snippets of things and those concerning wellness, I read the different descriptions prior to trying a mechanism out. I wouldnt say that I bought all the benefits they were saying... like the Bubble Bed saying that it helps to balance the cerebrum among other things. I was just like mmmkay. Maybe... just maybe... theres a good explanation Id be interested in knowing one of these days. Nonetheless, all this water gushing through me was utter pleasure that Id be silly to feel so critical about some claims. It doesnt end there. On the other side would be the hot herbal baths! There were 6 big tubs - 3 kinds with 2 each. They were: mint at 36 degrees Celsius, jasmine with back massage at 38, and the oh-so-hot-like-fever lavender with foot massage at 40. There are rules all around saying to just spend a few minutes at a time in the hot amenities (this included the sauna and steam bath). For the intervals, you had the option of taking the 8-nozzle shower, the bucket splash, or the super ice-cold swirling pool. The last, I thought, was training for a snowy winter, which made me think of hoping that Id still get to join my family on our trip... considering that the Papal visit caused adjustments in our schedule. Anyway, going back, there was also a swimming pool area. And literally, it was an area where youd have to do laps. This part made it clear to me that I have a lot of training to do to consider myself a fit swimmer. I would get all drained up doing what I think is freestyle halfway through the lap. I also realized, at this point, that being a lifeguard is no joke. :)) After every tiring swim I did, what I loved to do was just to lie and relax in the Lazy River. You would use a giant board to keep you afloat as it goes around a lengthy oval. Of course, being a giant board, you could lie on it prone or supine (pardon the kinda-scientific term.. but it was a direct way to put it). This was also how I ended my water spa experience, before I finally went back to the locker and showers to wrap up. *** Yes. That really was a lot of things... but definitely something I would try again. Perhaps with friends for a playful unwind or by myself again to just disconnect (gadgets and other belongings dont go past the locker area) and get pampered. And now, its back to being responsible and studious. I just downed my second and last can of coffee for the day. I cant sleep yet, as much as I want to. I still need to do a psychiatry transcription on depression, read up just enough for things not to pile further, and do some Our Daily Bread time. The last will make for another fun story (fun for me to tell, that is), as its something Im just starting this year... which is quickly becoming fulfilling and purposeful. Like I said, there are still other tasks lined for tonight... so lets have a good rest of the evening and a great snooze when weve considered ourselves productive enough. :))
