I just had to share this. It reminds me of the catnip orgy my cats indulged in the other night, when I gave them fresh nip right from the plant. They went crazy. It started with Merlin. I showed him the empty catnip box, and he stuck his head in it and started rubbing it and licking my fingers (unprecedented in the history of his life!). When I went to get the fresh stuff, he almost fell over with impatience. Margo, in the meantime, was howling at the top of her voice, fearing that she had been overlooked. When I tore the catnip leaves and scattered them on the floor (for Margo) and on top of the back of the sofa (for Merlin), they went wild, rolling and burrowing in it before chowing down on it. When I checked on them 15 minutes later, they were sleeping it off like a pair of Saturday night drunks on Sunday morning.
