I just have to put this out there right now--I am so grateful for my life. I was already having a beautiful morning in the ICE program and then there was news about Harry Potter on my Facebook feed. There was also news about my upcoming trip to Washington DC, which made my day somehow even more exciting. THEN I saw some amazingly clever and crafty things done by some of my former classmates that made me smile and laugh and in general just want today to keep going forever! I know that I’m probably just being obnoxiously optimistic and silly in the Facebook world, but I can’t help it! I attend an amazing university that pushes and pulls me in all the right ways and has me at that perfect stress level where I can just THRIVE, I have amazing, supportive, AWESOME friends that help me in my righteous endeavors, I’m blessed with fun roommates and a phenomenal ward at church, and my friends and family that are far away are aware of me and occasionally send me wonderful, nerdy things that make me smile. I have so many things to be so grateful for, and it’s just so nice. The season is changing and I am in love with the weather (albeit it’s trying to kill me, but I’m tough!) and all of the great and amazing things that are going on! If you’ve read this far I hope that you know that you’re amazing. If we’re friends on Facebook it means that you are someone that I care about, that I love, and that I know has the potential to do amazing things. Don’t forget to be happy, to give yourself time to enjoy what you’re doing, and remember that with Christ all things are possible! Love, Doug :)
