I just have to say I am one happy girl. I was reconnected with Cathy this evening for the first time in several years. For those who dont know she was the one who got me out of a situation & took me under her wing basically when I was in high school. She gave me her time, attention, advice, strength, understanding, guidance but most of all her patience, acceptance & love. She cared for me as if I were her own. She done everything for me yet the only thing she ever asked of me was to be who I am, be the best I can be & never to believe I wasnt worth it. We were able tonight to catch up some on each others lives yet we still have many years to make up for. It brought back many memories. Bad memories but lots of good ones as well. And the good make up for the bad. Just hearing her voice darn near brought tears to my eyes. Man how I have missed her. I hope we can catch up in person soon so she can meet the boys. I never want to lose touch with her again. Thanks Julie for helping us reconnect.
