I just have to say because its come up in other posts: Blaming Congress for everything is getting really old. Congress has its problems I agree, but its part of the system of government we have in place in accordance with our Constitution which has been very successful until now. Do you ever wonder why we are having such a problem with Congress these days? I do, and I think I have finally figured it out. Theres one common denominator to every problem that has come up recently. Barack Obama. To go along with his style of governing, which is to divide, divide, divide, hes not only trying to divide the people, which hes successfully done, hes trying to discredit and do away with Congress. Think about it. He takes every opportunity to blame and demonize Congress. He does everything thru executive order and refuses to work with Congress in an effort to show that we dont even need Congress, lets do away with them. Wouldnt that play into his whole vision of a socialist society? His job as the leader of our country is to work with Congress and to try to help Congress be able to work together for the good of the country. He has done the exact opposite. Every President has hosted cocktail parties and social gatherings for Congress so they can overcome any tension between the parties and help them to work together. He has never done that. He wants them to remain at odds with each other. My biggest problem with Congress is they apparently have fallen for it just like the rest of us and have set aside their own beliefs and our beliefs and havent stood up to him and called him out. If they would stick to what they believe in, they would probably get more done, instead theyre always fighting him and each other. So I say lets quit blaming Congress for everything. Why hasnt this been such a problem in the past? This is the way our government is set up, and a system most of us agree is the system that works the best for our country. If you dont like Congress, elect someone else to Congress, but dont facilitate doing away with them by blaming them for everything. Theres a lot of good people with good intentions in Congress. Theyre not the root of all our problems.
