I just have to share this post that was a response to my daughters breast cancer awareness comments. I understand completely what you are saying, my friend, and I give it the utmost respect. :-) Dorothys Aunt Debbie Hamilton, who is my sister, also is a breast cancer survivor. For me as her sister, it was the worst thing in my life to watch her suffer. She did survive her cancer, unlike our Mom dying of cancer at 48 years young, our Grandmother dying with cancer, and our Grandfather dying with cancer. It was a very scary time for me. Losing her would be unbearable. I think its a great thing to do these thing to raise awareness for cancer, and it obviously works because Ive seen soooo many no-makeup posts. So Im super happy for that. But like Dorothy, its real hard for me to do that because I cant get the image out if my mind when my sister brought home her celebration picture when she completed her radiation. It didnt make me happy, it made me so sad because in my mind, she should have never had cancer and I couldnt understand. Granted, I was so thankful to the good Lord above that my sister lived, but that snapshot of her was a horrible reminder. Thank God you (my friend) survived, and I completely agree to the breast cancer awareness pictures... But for me, it is more important to read your personal story of your survival. Just typing this post has brought tears to my eyes (really) just remembering that time in my sisters life... Please understand. I love you, (my friend), and I would love to hear your story of survival. God Bless you, girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
